Pesticide for Chrome Privacy policy
Pesticide for Chrome respects your privacy and is committed to safeguarding user data.
Pesticide is a CSS debugging extension. When you enable it on the current tab, it injects CSS and an inspector UI into that page so you can inspect layout, DOM structure, dimensions, fonts, and computed styles. The extension does not collect personal or sensitive information for sale or advertising purposes.
Data Collection
Pesticide processes page-derived information locally in the active tab in order to provide its debugging features. This may include:
- HTML tag names, element
idvalues, CSS classes, and DOM paths - Box model and dimension information
- Font-related information
- Computed style information.
This information is used only while the extension is running on the tab you activate. It is not uploaded as page content for remote inspection.
Pesticide stores extension settings in Chrome storage, such as:
- which inspector sections are shown or hidden
- panel open or collapsed state
- panel position and size
- per-site UI preferences
Pesticide also uses limited analytics to understand extension usage and feature interactions, such as extension installs, inspector toggles, options page views, and option changes. These analytics do not include the full content of the web pages you inspect.
